WHO WE ARE

With access to offices in approximately 60 countries, we have a global reach—providing parties a neutral and independent forum at a convenient location in the world for the settlement of transnational commercial disputes.

Our mediators have extensive experience and training in settling cases. They are also practicing lawyers, arbitrators or full time mediators, who have a practical understanding of how international business works. They live in different parts of the world and represent different legal and cultural traditions. Many of them have at one time lived and worked outside their native countries and speak several languages.

By offering an international panel of mediators, Global InterMediation can help bridge the misunderstanding that may often separate disputing parties of different cultures and languages. Where appropriate, we may suggest the use of co-mediators to help overcome cultural misunderstandings in order to promote settlement.

MEDIATION TRAINING

In addition to mediation, Global InterMediation and its panel of mediators can provide training in mediation in countries where mediation, as a form of dispute settlement, is not well known.

For more information about training, please contact one of our principals.

PRESS RELEASES

November 15, 2010
We are pleased to report that effective October 1 2010 Global InterMediation[ "GI"], has entered into a joint venture agreement with GibConsult GmbH ["GIB"], a leading German consulting firm with headquarters in Eggolsheim, Germany. Mark Steinkamp, a partner of GIB, has also become as of October 1 2010 a member of GI'S panel of mediators.

The purpose of this joint venture is to increase the use of mediation services of GI within Europe and to provide jointly with GIB consulting services to our joint clients in Europe on the use of appropriate dispute resolution processes to resolve their business disputes

We believe that working in this way with GIB will be particularly timely because of the recent adoption of the European Directive on Mediation and will prove benefical to GIB, GI and its panel of mediators in Europe.

Mark Steinkamp will also serve as GI's European representative
