He combines a substantial mediation practice with practice as a commercial litigator specialising in insurance and reinsurance and aviation work. Outside London he has mediated in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Jersey and New York.
He represents and advises clients participating in commercial mediation.
He lectures on ADR here and abroad and teaches mediation skills. He has spoken at each of the last two annual European Mediators’ Congresses.
His articles include “Juggling Act” dealing with current attitudes to mediation and “Opinion: Halsey v Milton Keynes” both published in the Lawyer.
In 2007 he delivered the Master’s lecture to the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators on the subject “Mediation – The Next Ten Years”.
